The Impact Measurement System defines how the Core of Volunteers quantifies results, not by money raised, but by verified help delivered.
This model replaces traditional nonprofit metrics with a transparent scoring frameworkโknown as the Impact Scoreโthat evaluates every action by its real-world effect, efficiency, and consistency.
It ensures that every partner, sponsor, and volunteer can see precisely how their contributions change lives.
Success is no longer the size of the budget. It is the depth of the outcome.
At the foundation of this system is the Impact Score, a standardized formula introduced in Impactful.
Impact Score = (Discount %) ร (Impact Size Multiplier)
This formula converts acts of service into measurable data that reflect both efficiency and scale.
| Variable | Meaning | Range | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discount % | The portion of goods or services donated or discounted relative to market cost. | 0โ100 | A 50% donation on materials equals 50 points of efficiency. |
| Impact Size Multiplier | The scope of benefit created, from individual to global scale. | 0.25โ2.0 | A neighborhood effort (ร0.75) or citywide initiative (ร1.25). |
The higher the efficiency and the broader the reach, the higher the Impact Score.
This approach allows small grassroots actions to be recognized alongside large-scale programs, using the same consistent scale.
