Empathy in action. Accountability through structure.
The Reentry Allies Program is powered entirely by trained volunteers who serve as mentors, coordinators, and connectors between the justice system and the community.
These roles demand empathy, patience, and professionalism β but also boundaries, documentation, and discretion.
Every volunteerβs work must uphold the Coreβs values of trust, transparency, and dignity.
Volunteers donβt fix people β they empower people to fix themselves, with support.
All volunteers are screened, verified, and assigned a Clearance Level before participating.
Verification ensures safety, data protection, and alignment with legal requirements.
| Level | Description | Access & Eligibility |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 β General Volunteer | Identity verified, reference checked. | Can assist with public events, logistics, and group service days. |
| Level 2 β Core Ally | Level 1 + National Sex Offender Registry check. | Eligible for 1-on-1 mentorship with reentry participants. |
| Level 3 β Program Coordinator / Admin | Level 2 + Criminal history review and PII access approval. | Can manage cases, handle private data, and communicate with parole officers. |
| Level 4 β Oversight / Compliance | Internal designation for investigations only. | Used by Directors or Board when a serious complaint arises. |
Volunteers who interact directly with participants must maintain Level 2 or higher.
Any drop in verification status (e.g., expired background check) results in immediate reassignment until resolved.
